I have fallen, rolled down the street, off the cliff, 1000 feet to the water below, swept away with the tide, landed on a desert island surround by man-eating lions. In reality I have not been exercising every day or watching what I have been eating as I should have, due to that thing(I think they call it Thanksgiving or as I call it “should I have one more slice of pie?”, I just need to get back on track, before the next eating fest called Christmas or as I call it, “Maybe I will start back in January“.

Restarted my walking this past week. It’s funny how something ingrained into your routine,in such a short time. I finally weighed myself and I lost 3 lbs. I feel so much lighter. I could float on …….. OK, I’ll float later. I am proud of that. Before I wasn’t doing anything. My doctor states that it’s best to lose slowly, build muscle, tighten the skin. As time goes on, I will lose more as my body adjust to my new way of eating. My skin/hair/nails are going through a transformation as well. Let me introduce you to my first line of defense. You can look up the advantages of the vitamins I use. I only copied the information that aids in overall health and weight loss for me. Gotta go. The Strain is on.
Within the chicago and surrounding suburbs, lies the one of the best pizzas around. If I want something satisfying, a taste that is out of this world, I will order a Beggars’s Pizza. I would order this pizza at least times a month if not more. While visiting, my son and I decided to a and have a slice. We both order a slice of deep dish. My son ordered a second slice, but it was thin crust. I will have to talk to him about upholding the family tradition of ordering thick crust. Ah the memories. The crust is awesome and yellow. I don’t know what they put in the dough to turn it yellow, but it is good to me. Layers of meat, cheese and sauce. I believe the crust and the right sauce is what makes a great pizza.
First you start with a super deep crust. It has to be a strong crust, with good self-esteem. No wimpy crust for my taste. This crust commands attention.
Next come the sauce. They spread all over the crust. Just the right amounts herbs and spices to give that kick.
Next come a full layer or mozzarella cheese. It is spread so thick, it almost close to a half an inch. Is your mouth-watering yet. I know mine is.
Last but not least, is the meat sauce which is just the sauce mixed with the meat. That is spread over the entire pizza.
And there you have it. Beggar’s Pizza. They have other food on the menu, at least I think so. I have never ordered anything else but the deep dish is a family tradition. Look at the picture below.
If you ever get a chance to visit Chicago, please check Beggar’s Pizza out this wonderful pizza place. You won’t be sorry.
I have some more posting to do, I but I have been holding on to this one for a while. Her name is Joyce. She can cook. I usually buy her pound cakes. They are big, tasty and satisfying. My husband who is a trained chef, always wants me to buy a cake a week. That is how much he adores her cakes. I had planned on doing a full spread on Ms. Joyce, but we have never got around to it. So I am going to put it out there. Now I have permission to use her picture and name, I have not gotten permission to give out her phone. I will be back with that one once I get the ok.
I like this lady. I believe she is very shy and she happens to be one of the nicest people I have met. We both work at the same school and you should taste her bar-b-que sauce and her ribs. Oh my God, what a tasty threat. Ok, I got sidetracked for a while, but seriously, she can burn. I want her to shine and want the world to know how wonderful her cakes are. So without further ado, here is Ms. Joyce and her soon to be world-famous pound cake. Please excuse the missing piece. My husband was chomping at the bit.
She is a very nice lady. I like the color blue on here as well
Now for the Masterpiece.
As you can see a sizeable chunk is missing. Some people have no consideration. Truth, this cake only lasted two days. When it’s good, its good.
